Habari Mary. Victor from Embakasi. It has been four months now, so I think I can finally give you a proper answer rather than a first impression.

When I came to you I had already been let down twice elsewhere. My worry was simple: would the person in the photographs be the person who turned up. That is the whole thing, really. Everything else is detail.

She turned up. Mary from Kitengela is calm in a way I had not expected, and within twenty minutes most of what I had carried into that meeting had gone. We were both direct about what we wanted, which saved a great deal of time.

Four months later we still make time for each other, and it has not been complicated. I have come to think that is the point. My advice is to stop trying to read people from a screen. Meet them, watch what they do over a few weeks, and let that tell you.
