How We Decide What Gets Published
Every submission is intended to receive human review before it goes live. This page explains who is responsible for that review, what is checked, what is rejected, and how to tell us when something needs correcting.

Who Handles Editorial Decisions
Admin Mary G is responsible for the platform’s editorial standards and reviews submissions, with authorized support assistance where needed. Editorial decisions are not intended to be made by an automated system.
Questions about a particular listing can be sent to admin@genuinesugarmummies.co.ke so a real person can review the concern.
What Is Checked Before Publishing
- Available contact details are checked to see whether they reach the person represented.
- The member is required to be 18 or over. See the Age Policy.
- Photographs are reviewed for obvious reuse or signs that they belong to another person.
- Descriptions are reviewed against the Community Guidelines.
The Verification Guide explains what members may need to provide during this process.
What We Turn Down
- Submissions where the member cannot be reached to confirm basic details.
- Anyone who declines required identity or age verification during review.
- Photographs that appear to belong to a different person.
- Anything involving a person under 18 years old.
- Requests or content that appear to involve conduct illegal under Kenyan law.
Rejected submissions are not published. Records may be retained only where needed for safety, fraud prevention, or lawful administration.
How We Handle Testimonials
The stories in Testimonials come from members who chose to send them. We may edit for spelling, length, and clarity, but we should not change the substance of what someone says happened or write a testimonial on another person’s behalf.
When a member asks for a shorter or different display name, we change only the public name shown with the story.
Corrections and Takedowns
If something published here about you is wrong, contact us and explain what needs correction. We can correct or remove inaccurate material without charging a correction fee.
We also accept requests to remove your own listing. See Data Deletion for the available process and any records that may need to be retained by law.
Editorial Independence
Listings are not ordered by who paid. A connection service affects the support requested from us, but it does not buy a better position on the site or a more favourable description.
Where advertising appears, it should be clearly identified as advertising. See Advertise for details.
What Verification Cannot Tell You
We want a verification mark to be understood accurately. Verification may confirm that a person is contactable, is 18 or over, and has provided identity information consistent with the profile review.
It is not a background check or a criminal-record check, and it cannot tell you what another person intends. Follow the precautions in our Trust and Safety guide whenever you meet someone, regardless of badge status.
