How We Decide What Gets Published
Every submission passes a real person before it goes live. This page explains who that person is, what they check, what they turn down, and how to tell us when we got something wrong.

Who Handles Editorial Decisions
Admin Mary G runs this platform, reviews all submissions, and takes responsibility for what appears on it. She does not automate decisions and does not hand them to anyone else.
Questions about a particular listing go to admin@genuinesugarmummies.co.ke and always reach a real person.
What Admin Checks Before Publishing
- Admin tests contact details to confirm they reach a real person.
- Admin confirms age as 18 or over. See the Age Policy.
- Admin checks photographs for obvious reuse from other sources.
- Admin reads descriptions against our Community Guidelines.
The Verification Guide explains what members must provide during this process.
What We Turn Down
- Submissions where admin cannot reach the member to confirm details.
- Anyone who declines identity verification during the review process.
- Photographs that appear to belong to a different person.
- Anything involving a person under 18 years old.
- Requests for anything illegal under Kenyan law.
Admin never publishes rejected submissions. We keep only the records needed to prevent resubmission.
How We Handle Testimonials
The stories in Testimonials come from members who chose to send them. We edit only for spelling, length, and clarity. However, we never change what someone said happened, and we never write testimonials on anyone’s behalf.
Members sometimes ask us to shorten or change their names. When that happens, we adjust only the display name. Nothing about the account itself changes.
Corrections
If something published here about you is wrong, tell us and we will fix or remove it. We will never ask you to demonstrate harm first, and corrections are always free.

Editorial Independence
Admin does not order listings by who paid. A connection package changes the service you receive from us. However, it does not buy a better position on the site or a more favourable description.
Where advertising appears, we clearly mark it as advertising. See Advertise for details.
What Verification Cannot Tell You
We would rather be transparent about this than let a badge imply more than it should. Verification confirms that someone is contactable, is over 18, and has produced identification consistent with their profile. It does not replace a background check or a criminal record check. It cannot tell you what a person intends.
Therefore, always take the precautions in our Trust and Safety guide whenever you meet someone, regardless of badge status.
