Good morning Mary. Lydia, here in Kisumu. I have been careful about anything online for years, so I waited a while before saying anything about Benson.
My worry was giving away too much too early. I have watched friends share everything in the first week and regret it. So I said very little at first, and Benson did not push for more.
He was patient. Well spoken, and content to let the conversation move at whatever speed I set. We met for lunch, and an hour across a table told me more than weeks of messages would have.
It is still early, a few weeks only. But the effort has been steady and the communication respectful, and at my age that counts for a great deal. My advice to other women here in Kisumu is not to rush, and not to assume the worst either. Just pay attention.
