Ask Us to Delete Your Data
You can have your account and the information attached to it removed at any time. No reason needed. It will not affect a service you have already paid for, and it costs nothing.

Making the request
- Email admin@genuinesugarmummies.co.ke from the address on your account, or give us the phone number you registered with.
- Use Data Deletion Request as the subject.
- Say whether you want the whole account gone or only certain details removed.
We confirm receipt, check the request really comes from the account holder, and finish within 30 days. That check exists for your protection. Without it, anyone could delete someone else’s account.
What goes
- Your profile and any photographs
- Name, phone number, email address
- Messages held on our systems
- Your GS App account and login
- Verification documents still on file
What we keep, and why
A few records survive a deletion request, either because the law requires it or because removing them would put other members at risk.
- Payment records, tax and accounting obligations under Kenyan law.
- Suspension records, so a banned account cannot simply be made again.
- Reports about you, where they concern someone else’s safety.
Anything retained is stored securely and never used for marketing.
Uninstalling is not deleting
Removing the GS App from your phone does nothing to the data we hold. The app is distributed as a direct download rather than through an app store, so there is no store account to close either.
To have your data removed you have to send the request above. If you only want the notifications to stop, turn them off in the app instead.
Your other rights
Kenya’s Data Protection Act 2019 also lets you ask for a copy of what we hold, have it corrected, or object to how it is used. Same address, same 30 days.

Deletion is free and we will never ask you to pay for it. We will not ask for your password or M-Pesa PIN either. Anyone demanding payment to erase your data is not us, report them through the scam page.
